Morgan Technical Ceramics was formed in 2003 when two former businesses units of The Morgan Crucible Company plc, Morgan Advanced Ceramics and Morgan Electro Ceramics, were combined. In March 2008 the Morgan Crucible Company plc, acquired Certech and Carpenter Advanced Ceramics from US firm Carpenter Technology Corporation. These businesses are now part of Morgan Technical Ceramics.
